Every collection needs a piece that explains the rest of it. For AW26, that piece is actually two.

The Contrast Jacket and The Corset-Waist Suede Trouser weren't designed as separates that happen to photograph well together. They were designed as an argument — discipline against drama, structure against softness — that only resolves when you put them on.

The jacket: contrast as construction, not decoration

The Contrast Jacket takes a cream-and-brown cowhide-pattern body and pairs it with dappled fawn-print sleeves. Most jackets that mix pattern do it to soften the effect. This one does the opposite: a double-breasted front and a stand collar with embellished trim keep the whole thing tailored, so the contrast reads as engineering rather than embellishment. Two pattern stories, one disciplined silhouette.

That's the throughline of HSW's design philosophy — precision at the millimeter scale, applied to a shape that most brands would have let go loose and romantic. We didn't.

The trouser: the waistband is the whole point

Underneath it, The Corset-Waist Suede Trouser does something similar from the opposite direction. A caged corset waistband in metallic lace and braided cord holds the waist with real structure — not a suggestion of a corset, an actual one — before releasing into a wide, pleated leg and a deep cuffed hem. The back lace-up closure means the shaping is adjustable, not fixed. Every metallic lace panel is cut separately, so no two pairs sit exactly the same.

Why we started here

We could have opened AW26 with something quieter. We didn't, because this pairing says what the whole collection is trying to say: that structure and softness aren't opposites, they're a decision you get to make every time you get dressed. The jacket controls the eye up top. The trouser does the same at the waist. Between them, there isn't a single inch of the silhouette left undefined.

That's what we mean when we say wear the woman you've become — not a mood, a construction choice.
